Care Instructions

Proper washing can help to keep your Helen Jon swimwear looking newer, longer. Gradual wear and tear is bound to happen, but if you care for your swimsuit properly, you will be rewarded in the long run. The following tips outline how to properly wash your swimsuit.

Rinse after use

Rinse your swimsuit in cold water as soon as possible after use. This helps to wash off any chemicals, saltwater, or sand before they can damage the swimsuit's material.

Wetsuit cases

Rinse your suit in cold water before putting it in a wetsuit case. Do not leave the swimsuit in a wetsuit case for more than one hour.

Hot Tubs

The combination of chemicals and high heat found in hot tubs may create fading of our colors.

Washing instructions

Hand wash your swimsuit and lay it flat to dry. Do not dry your swimsuit in direct sunlight; UV rays can cause the fabric to fade. Do not twist or wring out your swimsuit to remove excess water; this could damage the elasticity of the fabric.

Sunscreens

Please be aware that some sunscreens contain chemicals that will cause fading or bleeding of the dye. We recommend that you do not spray or apply sunscreen directly to the fabric.
