DraperJames.com & Instagram Checkout Return Policy
- EXTENDED HOLIDAY RETURNS Orders placed between October 26th and December 24th are eligible for our extended holiday return window. These items can be returned or exchanged until January 10th — or 20 days from the purchase date (whichever is greater).
- Returns and exchanges outside this window must be made within 20 days of receiving your order.
- Returns and exchanges for Draper James purchases on Facebook/Instagram must be processed via Facebook/Instagram.
- Returns and exchanges for purchases made on draperjames.com must be processed via Happy Returns
- Returns made to a Happy Returns Return Bar location or Draper James store are complimentary.
- All exchanges and site credit selections are complimentary.
- For returns processed via mail, a $6.95 fee per return label will apply. This fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
- Items purchased online for pick up in a Draper James store location (buy online, pick up in store) can only be returned or exchanged in person at a Draper James store.
- Merchandise must be in its original condition with all tags attached. Merchandise must not be used, worn, altered, or washed. Footwear must be returned in the original shoebox.
- Personalized, monogrammed and engraved items, cosmetics, hair accessories, gift cards, items purchased on final sale and other select items cannot be returned and are non-refundable.
- Sale merchandise marked as "Final Sale" cannot be returned or exchanged
- All international orders are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned.
Store Return Policy
- We are not able to honor price adjustments.
- Store credits and gift cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
- Sale merchandise marked as "Final Sale" cannot be returned or exchanged.
- Personalized, monogrammed and engraved items, cosmetics, hair accessories, perishables, gift cards, and items purchased on final sale cannot be returned and are non-refundable.
- Draper James reserves the right to deny a refund if the merchandise is deemed non-resalable.
To Return an Item
You have 3 options to return or directly exchange an item:
1. Return your online order in person at a Happy Returns Location (Complimentary)
To start your returns process please visit draperjames.happyreturns.com.
Click HERE to find a Happy Returns Location near you. There are more than 3,000 Happy Returns dropoff locations across the country! Please note that you must begin your return in our online portal before dropping off your item.
- Bring the item(s) you wish to return with the QR code generated in the online portal.
- Your refund or exchange will be initiated immediately.
*Please note that online returns must be processed via our Happy Returns system or they will not be accepted. Store purchases must be returned or exchanged at the original store where the item was purchased to be accepted.
2. Return your online order by mail ($6.95)
- To start your returns process, please visit draperjames.happyreturns.com.
- Enter your order number and billing zip code.
- Review your order history, and select the product you wish to return.
- Select a reason for the return, and choose between options for a direct exchange, refund or site credit.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each item you wish to return.
- Review and verify your selections and submit your return.
- Print the return shipping label and affix it to the original packaging. Make sure the products are in the same condition as when you received them (unworn, unwashed and with original tags. Shoes must be in their original box). *Please return Fragile Items via the Mail in their original packaging*
- Drop your return off at any USPS location.
- Once your return is received and processed:
- Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment within 7 days, less a $6.95 fee per return label.
- Site merchandise credits will be issued immediately.
- Exchanges will be sent within 2-3 business days. Please note that exchanges cannot be sent with expedited shipping.
You will receive a confirmation email once the return or exchange has been processed. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund the original shipping charges.

- If you selected "exchange" while creating a return, your exchange will be initiated upon receipt of original item to a Happy Returns location.
- If returning original item via Happy Returns or by mail, please allow 10 business days to receive your new item.
- Please note that we cannot offer expedited shipping on exchanges
- Exchanges may also be made in-person at our stores in Nashville, Houston, and Lexington.
