Had to return - poor quality and weird fit

"I was so excited to order this dress since I live on the East coast and am obsessed with hydrangeas. But the dress was surprisingly poor quality for the price. It's unlined, and even though it's dark, on a sunny day you could see my underwear through it. It was just so thin and flimsy. I have another dress from DJ that I LOVE, and the quality of that dress is amazing - high-end feeling, and lined. This was the opposite, and felt more like something I'd find at Target. Also, the fit was a little odd. The neckline was high, and the back also felt really high up. The waist was somewhere between empire and my natural waistline. It technically fit and wasn't tight, but it also looked like I was forced into it somehow - hard to explain. For the price, I couldn't justify keeping it despite the gorgeous design and colorway."

Gorgeous dress!

"This dress is gorgeous! The beautiful embroidered hydrangeas on the fabric were a nice unexpected detail. I was happy to see a cool"winter" navy/indigo color since everything has been very warm and muted lately. I am usually a small/6 at DJ and the small fit though it is a little snug in the bust. I like the crisscross straps so there is no hassle of straps falling down, though it would be nice if they were adjustable. I wore this on Easter with the light blue flower earrings and got many compliments!"

Easter Dress

"This was a comfortable and fun to wear Easter dress. Can be dressed up or down with heels or sandals, and worn with or without a sweater as the weather may require. Lightweight but high quality material made it comfortable on a hot day. Easily de-wrinkled with steamer straight out of the package."

Why did you change the straps?

"I’m so crushed. The Cynthia dress is my favorite and I wear mine all of the time. So when I saw this gorgeous new color in the hydrangea print, I swooned and immediately purchased it. Imagine my sadness to find that the straps no longer have a smidge of elastic at the back to make them adjustable! The straps are now far too short and it makes the bodice ride up into my armpits and gape at the neck. Sizing up would not help this problem. Please please tell your design team to go back to the original design because I dearly love this dress."

Love the dress. It’s beautiful.

"Love the dress. It’s beautiful. Embroidery and cut are great. I’m between a size medium and large. Went with the medium because I’m short. it’s a bit tight in the bust (I’m 36D normally size 8-10 depending on brand). I still love it and wore it for Easter."
